mat (by blindscapes)

on my way to drop my son to his friend’s house i stopped for 5 seconds to photograph this. and my son (9 years) who was right next to me behind my camera asked:

“dad, why did you stop for that?”, and I replied: 

“the mat on the pavement just looked funny”, and he said:

“the only thing that’s funny here is you stopping to take this photograph”.

I think he’s right. there’s nothing funny about a door mat on a narrow street where the houses are overflowing.
