Male’ – The Atoll Chief of Haa Alif, Mohamed Rasheed (Pictured with Golhaabo), was naked with his secretary in a guesthouse in Male’ when police entered the room on Thursday evening. Both were taken to police but Rasheed was released without charge within an hour. Mr. Rasheed is closely associated with the Dictator through his brother in law Ilyas Ibrahim and is also very close to Sheereen, State Minister at Atolls Ministry.

According to local reports, Mr. Rasheed’s first wife informed the police about the location of this illicit act, but has since been put under caution for misinforming the police.

Mr. Rasheed recently took on a second wife, whom he married secretly in Sri Lanka without telling his first wife. Rasheed is a well known pimp for the Dictator’s top cronies, especially Ilyas Ibrahim.

There are reports that he has since left to his Atoll accompanied by the Maldives Attorney General, Azima Shukoor. 

Ministers, Island chiefs, Atoll Chiefs and other similar top ranking cronies of this regime are immune from prosecution, in return for their complete loyalty to the Dictator. This is yet another perfect example of that.
