Twenty, thirty years from now I dont know what well be dressing like, mused David lee Roth in 1987. It wont be like anything were familiar with, I know that. Now, the future is here and it looks almost exactly like 1987. But the 80s revival is more than just an exercise in nostalgia.<\/p>\n

At its heart lies an idea which has inspired some of the greatest art and music of the last two centuries. From the Pre-Raphaelites to the punks, the Gothic revival to the 80s revival, artists have been looking to the past for the means to correct the present.
