We can\u2019t really think safely at all, in linear terms. We can\u2019t posit any kind of inwardness which isn\u2019t corruptible, which isn\u2019t infected by some aspect of the dominant culture. In other words, we can\u2019t assume there is any kind of inwardness which is unmediated by cultural production.
